Board and Train
BOARD AND TRAIN - TO SUPPORT YOUR DOG’S BEHAVIOUR NEEDS
An intensive behaviour modification stay for your dog, focussed on their main issues. Suitable for fear, reactivity, human or dog directed aggression, resource guarding, and more. I’ll work on your dog’s issues during their stay at my home in Perthshire, Scotland. £695/week (discounted rate available for Honest Hounds members)
Most dogs will require 1-3 weeks stay, depending on the nature and severity of their issues.
IS MY DOG SUITABLE? THEIR ISSUES ARE VERY SEVERE
This behaviour modification stay is suitable for any issue, and many dogs who attend have some level of bite history to people and/or dogs. Many have been potential euthanasia candidates until their owners found me.
DO YOU WORK WITH DOGS WITH MINOR ISSUES TOO?
Absolutely! If you have small challenges you want tweaked, you want your dog’s training to continue or you want someone to care for your dog, I have options for you. Training and boarding is priced at £495/week (discounted for Honest Hounds members), and this is suitable for dogs who have training issues rather than behavioural issues.
WILL I GET UPDATES? WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEY COME HOME?
I’ll provide WhatsApp updates throughout their stay, to reassure you and to give you some of the information that you’ll need when you collect them. Stays of 2 weeks or more also include a detailed in person handover of up to 2 hours (behavioural) or 1 hour (training), where I help you and your dog practise their new behaviours with you.
I strongly recommend having follow up zoom sessions with me after bringing your dog home, so that we can help you maintain (and continue!) their progress.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED AND INSURED?
I have a huge wealth of experience living with and changing the behaviours of dogs who struggle in our human world, and I am fully insured for behaviour and training work. In addition to my practical experience, I am also partway through qualifying as a Clinical Canine Behaviour Practitioner & Trainer, am a student member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA), and I abide by the CFBA Code of Ethics at all times.
